Head of North America Property

Are you a recognised leader in the US Property insurance market with the relationships and credibility to influence outcomes at the highest level? Ready to lead strategy, drive growth and develop the future of Aon's North America Property business?

Aon is seeking a Head of North America Property to join our Global Broking Centre in London. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

What the day will look like

In role, you would be responsible for the strategic direction, performance and growth of Aon's US Property business within the Global Broking Centre. You'll work closely with regional and global leaders to deliver outstanding solutions for clients, drive broking excellence and develop a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting the strategic direction for broking and market management activities, aligning closely with regional and global priorities.
  • Being responsible for the team to achieve revenue, growth and client service objectives while encouraging a culture of teamwork, accountability and excellence.
  • Acting as a senior market representative for Aon, strengthening relationships with carriers, clients and key industry customers.
  • Driving innovation through product development, facility strategies and digital placement initiatives that improve client value.
  • Supporting major placements and renewals, acting as a trusted point of contact when required for complex transactions and helping secure successful outcomes.
  • Using market intelligence, analytics and structured data to advise strategy, improve client insights and support business growth.
  • Ensuring all activities are conducted in line with regulatory requirements, risk appetite and Aon's values and standards.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Extensive US Property insurance experience with a highly developed network across the US and London markets, including positive relationships with US retail brokers, clients and trading partners.
  • Deep understanding of the US retail landscape, with the credibility and market presence to serve as a senior escalation point for complex placements, client challenges and market negotiations.
  • Shown people leadership experience, including a track record of leading and developing broking teams over multiple years, crafting high-performing cultures and optimally leading talent.
  • Experience overseeing the financial performance of a broking business, including budgeting, financial reporting and P&L responsibility or oversight.
  • Strategic, commercially focused, and highly collaborative. Influences senior partners and supports expansion. Builds positive relationships with multinational clients, retail networks, and the wider insurance market. Operates with utmost integrity and professionalism.
