Head of Office - Corporate Risk (Leeds, UK)

Are you a dynamic leader ready to shape the success of a thriving, high-performing office? Do you have the vision, influence and problem-solving capability to drive growth in a complex market? Aon are now currently recruiting for a Head of Office to lead our Corporate risk team in Leeds!
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both virtually and from our Leeds Embankment office.

What the day will look like
- Regional and National Strategy: Lead the delivery of regional and national strategy at branch level, contributing to its ongoing development alongside the Regional Director.
- Business Plan Execution: Develop and execute the branch business plan, driving performance, growth and profitability across the office.
- External Representation: Act as the ‘face of Aon’ locally, building a strong external profile and positioning Aon as the broker of choice.
Business Leadership
- Revenue Performance: Drive revenue performance through forecasting, client profitability insights and activity analysis, ensuring risks are identified and managed.
- Client Management: Embed a consistent approach to client management, account planning and service delivery across all teams.
- Relationships: Build strong relationships with insurers and internal stakeholders, including Claims, Trade Credit, Premium Finance and Operations.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance and accurate, timely invoicing.

Client Growth and Retention
- Client Retention: Lead client retention and organic growth strategies, including oversight of key client defences.
- New Business: Partner with the Sales team to deliver new business and profitable growth.
- Aon Offering: Maximise opportunities to introduce the wider Aon offering across Risk, Claims and specialist solutions.
People Leadership
- Branch Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the branch leadership team, driving a high-performance culture.
- Talent Pipeline: Build a strong talent pipeline, with clear succession plans and ongoing development for key roles.
- Inclusive Environment: Create an inclusive, motivated and collaborative environment aligned to Aon’s values.
Wider Business Contribution
- Commercial Initiatives: Support broader Commercial Insurance initiatives and contribute to growth and retention across Aon.
- Best Practice: Share best practice and drive consistency across the region and wider business.
- Market Engagement: Raise Aon’s profile locally through networking, events and market engagement.
Compliance and Governance
- Compliance Culture: Promote a strong compliance culture, ensuring all regulatory and internal standards are understood and met.
- Leadership by Example: Lead by example, embedding consistent processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Broad insurance knowledge, including market landscape, Aon’s solutions and client risk exposures
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, develop and manage high-performing teams
- Demonstrated success managing relationships with mid-market and large corporate clients
- Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, business drivers and financial performance
- Confident negotiator with experience in fee setting, client retention and growth strategies
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on delivery
- Highly results-driven, with a strong client and people focus
- ACII qualified (or equivalent)
