Head of Office - Corporate Risk (Leeds, UK)

Aon is currently recruiting for a Head of Office to lead our Corporate Risk team in Leeds!

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both virtually and from our Leeds Embankment office.

What the day will look like

As Head of Office, you will lead our Leeds Corporate Insurance team, driving the delivery of Aon’s regional and national strategy while shaping the future direction of the office alongside the Regional Director. You'll be responsible for developing and executing the branch business plan, ensuring strong commercial performance, sustainable growth and profitability. Leveraging your extensive client management and commercial insurance expertise, you will build and strengthen key client relationships, support business development opportunities, and act as the face of Aon in the local market.

This is a highly visible leadership role, requiring an inspirational people leader who can motivate high-performing teams, enhance colleague engagement, and position Aon as the broker of choice across the region.

Business leadership

  • Drive revenue performance through forecasting, client profitability insights and activity analysis, ensuring risks are identified and managed.
  • Embed a consistent approach to client management, account planning and service delivery across all teams.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers and internal stakeholders, including Claims, Trade Credit, Premium Finance and Operations.
  • Ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance and accurate, timely invoicing.

Client growth and retention

  • Lead client retention and organic growth strategies, including oversight of key client defences.
  • Partner with the Sales team to deliver new business and profitable growth.
  • Maximise opportunities to introduce the wider Aon offering across Risk, Claims and specialist solutions.

People leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the branch leadership team, driving a high-performance culture.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline, with clear succession plans and ongoing development for key roles.
  • Create an inclusive, motivated and collaborative environment aligned to Aon’s values.

Wider business contribution

  • Support broader Commercial Insurance initiatives and contribute to growth and retention across Aon.
  • Share best practice and drive consistency across the region and wider business.
  • Raise Aon’s profile locally through networking, events and market engagement.

Compliance and governance

  • Promote a strong compliance culture, ensuring all regulatory and internal standards are understood and met.
  • Lead by example, embedding consistent processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, develop and manage high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success managing relationships with mid-market and large corporate clients
  • Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, business drivers and financial performance
  • Confident negotiator with experience in fee setting, client retention and growth strategies
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on delivery
  • Highly results-driven, with a strong client and people focus
  • ACII qualified (or equivalent)
