Why This Role Matters
As the Head of O&M Readiness and Global Asset Management (GAM), you will be a member of the L2 Leadership team and will report directly to the COO. This role carries responsibilities analogous to SteerCo or Board-level governance as per the company’s Declaration of Authority (DoA).
This position is critical in shaping the strategic direction of O&M across JERA Nex bp’s offshore wind ambitions. Key duties include:
- Aligning and maintaining O&M processes with other business segments to ensure seamless cooperation.
- Overseeing O&M organizational setup focused on delivering high-quality support within a budget-conscious framework.
- Partnering with every project phase—from initial development through construction, operational phases, and potential lifetime extension, repowering, or decommissioning.
- Defining O&M OPEX and long-term strategy, ensuring the correct resources and contracts are in place for future execution.
Your function will bridge O&M readiness and GAM, ensuring optimal allocation of operational services while ensuring a seamless transition into project execution.
Responsibilities
The Head of O&M Readiness and GAM is responsible for:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Provide safe and healthy working conditions, ensuring adherence to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) legislation.
- Represent the company in stakeholder governance positions as required by the DoA and in line with company guidance.
- Drive operational reporting for SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles), including formalized monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting to committees, boards, and other stakeholders.

Team Management & Development
- Manage and coach the O&M Readiness & O&M GAM teams to ensure they deliver on capacity requirements as outlined in the Business Management System (BMS) and O&M operations model.
- Prepare the organization for future growth aligned with company strategy.
- Ensure the right pool of O&M resources (current and future) is available under tight budget control.
- Support teams in internal and external audits.
O&M Program & Execution
- Prepare company-specific SLAs (Service Level Agreements) while respecting stakeholder’s arrangements.
- Deliver strategic guidance to optimize the operation of wind farms within the portfolio.
- Monitor, verify, and protect the company’s investment value by validating key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the redevelopment and project lifecycles (pre-development, construction, repowering, decommissioning).
Knowledge & Innovation
- Safeguard the knowledge sharing enhanced by internal and external audits.
- Support R&D&I initiatives by providing resources and steering critical OSSEA knowledge integration.
- Engage with key industry groups to maintain corporate presence and stay ahead of developments.
Business & Strategic Opportunities
- Strategically identify and develop opportunities through partnerships and value creation across the portfolio.
- Lead cross-functional projects such as Business Management System (BMS), O&M Operations modelling, and business system analysis.
Governance & Reporting
- Coordinate O&M representation in the investment evaluation, project development, execution phases, and asset lifecycle.
- Support reporting to stakeholders on operational risk, financial performance, and sustainability indicators.
