The Company
Freixenet Copestick has a fantastic portfolio of wine and sparkling wine brands and a strong position across the UK drinks market. This is an opportunity to join a business with real ambition and play a key role in shaping its future on trade growth.
The Role
The head of on trade will take ownership of the UK strategy, driving profitable growth, market share and distribution across pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, casual dining groups and premium hospitality. The role will lead senior customer relationships and commercial negotiations, identify new opportunities and build strategic partnerships across national and regional customers, wholesalers and distribution partners.

A key part of the role will be leading and developing a high performing on trade team of 5 NAEs, NAMs and SNAMs, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Working closely with marketing, finance, supply chain and customer service, the head of on trade will have genuine influence over how the portfolio is positioned, activated and grown in the channel.
The Person
Freixenet Copestick is looking for an experienced commercial leader with a strong understanding of the on trade and a track record of delivering profitable growth. The ideal candidate will be commercially sharp, confident with senior customers and passionate about developing people and brands.

Wine or drinks experience would be highly relevant, although candidates from FMCG or hospitality with strong on trade experience will also be considered. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants genuine responsibility, the chance to shape strategy and the opportunity to make a visible impact within an ambitious drinks business.
Remote role, with Newbury head office up to 2 days per week
