Role Overview - Head of Operational Concepts, Training and Coaching
Are you a dynamic and ambitious Senior Manager to embrace the role of Head of Operational Concepts, Training and Coaching who will lead our CTC team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the operationalisation of the SRT MDA system with our customers. The team specialises in guiding customers through these complex transitions. These initiatives are typically long-term, phased projects spanning several years, designed to ensure our customers fully realise the benefits of our systems.
You as our Head of Operational Concepts, Training and Coaching will be based from our Bristol office with flexibility for Hybrid working (3 days a week in office when in the UK). This role will require Global (up to 75%) travel in support of the business, and the delivery of our projects.

This includes leadership of the following areas within your team:
CONOPS
- Early discussions with prospective clients to understand their particular operational challenges
- Support SRT product development to design the SRT MDA system to meet their requirements
- Develop the Concept of Use to maximise the customers use of the MDA system to deliver maximum operational capability
Training
- Develop the structure and content of the SRT Academy, to provide online and face to face MDA and ILO (Intelligence Led Operations) training to our customers
- Shape and manage the development of SRT’s online training
- Shape and manage the development and delivery of SRT’s face to face for all programmes
Coaching
- SRT dedicate a Customer Support Manager (CSM) to each customer. The CSM is the cornerstone of our long-term customer partnership
- A key role of the CSM is to provide operational system use advice and coaching, to maximise the operational effectiveness of the system and drive continual development of partner operational capability
Your team includes adoption specialists, trainers, and customer success professionals in the UK and within our project teams around the globe all working together to support our customers in achieving their transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities - Head of Operational Concepts, Training and Coaching (not exhaustive):
- Team Leadership: Manage and support a multidisciplinary team of trainers, adoption specialists, and customer success managers to deliver system operationalisation and customer capability transformation
- Program Leadership: Design and manage the overarching framework for the CTC program, tailoring it to meet customer-specific needs
- Training Development Coordination: Collaborate with trainers and specialists to develop the SRT Academy and ensure the timely and effective delivery of customised customer training
- Operational Planning: Develop detailed schedules and action plans for training and coaching initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer timelines and objectives
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, and external partners to organise resources and logistics for successful program execution
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the effectiveness of training and coaching programs, implementing improvements based on feedback and performance metrics

Requirements - Head of Operational Concepts, Training and Coaching (not exhaustive):
- Proven experience in leading multi-functional teams
- Proven experience in organisational change
- Proven experience of developing largescale on-line and in person training
- Proven experience in organising and managing large-scale global training programs
- Strong organisational and project management skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration across teams and with clients
- A strategic thinker who can align the CTC areas of interests with customer systems operationalisation and goals
- Practical understanding of operational concepts and training methodologies is an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally to support customers and team members
- Knowledge and or interest in of maritime domain awareness and surveillance would be a benefit
