Head of Finance Operations – Permanent - Brighton
Based: Brighton
4 days per week on-site
Salary: £70-95,000 plus bonus and benefits
Our client, a fast-growing and complex SME in Brighton, is looking to recruit a new Head of Finance Operations. The role will lead a team of 4 and drive the continuous improvement of processes, AI implementation, NetSuite utilisation and controls in transactional finance.
The role reports into the Finance Director and is a critical role for this tech-savvy business. The successful candidate will lead a skilled transactional finance team and can have significant impact. At year end, you’ll be supporting the accounting team with statutory accounts, so it’s likely you’ll be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

The team are based in Brighton and this role is 4 days in the office, with 1 day WFH. This could potentially move to 2 days WFH once settled in.
To be considered for this role you’ll have:
- An Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience managing a transactional finance/ finance operations team.
- Experience using NetSuite.
- Evidence of implementing AI tools to help automate processes.
- Able to support the accounting team with year-end statutory accounting.
- Available to be in Brighton four days a week, potentially moving to 3 days on-site once settled in.
