Head of Operations

Location: Carlisle
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-17:00pm

About Us

Joining 2 Sisters means becoming part of the UK's largest food manufacturing group, with a turnover exceeding £3 billion and over 13,500 employees. At Cavaghan & Gray in Carlisle, we produce the highest quality M&S products with a production capacity of 115 million units per year, spread across over 150 different products. The site played a major role in the ready meal revolution in the 1970s, launching three of the first-ever prepared ready meal products - cauliflower cheese, cottage pie and Cumberland pie - all for Marks & Spencer.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced operational leader to oversee and drive performance across both sites. This role is not just about getting product out the door - it's about shaping the future. We need someone who can help secure long-term business by proving capability and building a resilient, adaptable operation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
