Head of Operations - South of England
Salary: Circa £90,000 per annum + benefits
Location: South of England

An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing care provider.
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Head of Operations to join a rapidly growing and ambitious care provider, overseeing a portfolio of nursing and residential care homes across the South of England.
The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will have overall operational responsibility for a number of nursing and residential homes, providing strong leadership, direction, and support to Home Managers and their teams.
You will be responsible for ensuring that each home operates safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, people, and the experience of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of nursing and residential care homes.
- Supporting, developing, and challenging Home Managers to achieve consistently high standards.
- Driving improvements in care quality, resident experience, occupancy, staffing, and financial performance.
- Ensuring homes are compliant with relevant legislation, regulation, and best-practice standards.
- Working closely with senior leaders and support functions to deliver organisational objectives.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing robust action plans where required.
- Using operational data, KPIs, and management information to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting the opening, integration, and development of new services as the organisation continues to grow.
- Promoting a positive culture centred around excellent care, accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues, professionals, and external stakeholders.

About You
- Proven experience overseeing multiple nursing and/or residential care homes.
- A strong understanding of the operational and regulatory requirements of the adult social care sector.
- A demonstrable track record of improving quality, compliance, and operational performance.
- Experience leading and developing Home Managers and senior teams.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, including experience managing budgets and KPIs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
- Strong experience using digital care management systems and online platforms for care planning, records, monitoring, and operational oversight.
- The ability to analyse information and use data effectively to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for residents and their families.
