Head of Operations
£75,000–£80,000 PA, depending on experience
North Kensington, London | Permanent | 35 hours per week

The role
Westway Trust is looking for a Head of Operations to join its Executive Team and play an important role in the next stage of the organisation’s development.
Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee HR, Learning, Communications & Marketing, and Community Engagement. You will lead day-to-day operations, support departmental leads and turn organisational priorities into clear, practical plans.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead and support teams across HR, Learning, Communications & Marketing, and Community Engagement.
- Oversee key projects supporting the Horizon Plan 2025–2028.
- Develop effective planning and performance management processes.
- Provide reports, dashboards and recommendations to the CEO.
- Oversee data gathering and analysis supporting the Trust’s Social Impact Framework.
- Ensure organisational policies and legal requirements are followed.
- Encourage collaboration, wellbeing and effective working across departments.

About our company
The Westway Trust is a unique charity that stewards the resources of 23 acres of space under the Westway A40. The Board of the Trust is led by local people and the Westway Trust now works together with the local community to enable North Kensington to thrive.
The Benefits
- £75,000–£80,000 PA, depending on experience.
- Permanent employment.
- 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The person
The Head of Operations must have:
- At least five years’ senior leadership or operational management experience.
- Strong people leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent planning, reporting and performance management ability.
- Experience managing budgets and improving operational systems.
- Confidence supporting organisational change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a charity, community or values-led organisation would be an advantage.
