Head of Operations
High-Growth Specialty Coffee Business
💸 £70,000 - £75,000 + discretionary bonus
📍 London - On-Site
Ignite are delighted to be partnering with a leading specialty coffee brand to hire a Head of Operations. With an established presence across retail, wholesale and D2C channels, the business has built a reputation for quality, sustainability and operational excellence, and is now looking for an experienced leader to help drive its next phase of growth.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operation of a busy roastery. You'll play a key role in optimising performance across planning, procurement, production, fulfilment, customer experience and continuous improvement, ensuring the operation is well-positioned to support future growth.
What will you be doing?
- Leading and developing the Operations and Customer Experience teams, fostering a high-performance culture
- Owning operational budgets and driving efficiencies across purchasing, production, resourcing and fulfilment
- Managing Health & Safety, compliance and quality standards across the site
- Leading the S&OP process, aligning demand forecasts with production, inventory and procurement plans
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and service levels
- Leading operational transformation and automation projects from concept through to implementation
- Identifying opportunities to utilise AI and technology to improve planning, reporting and workflow efficiency
- Managing key supplier, logistics and operational partnerships to ensure service excellence
- Supporting both B2B and D2C customer experience through effective operational delivery

Who are we looking for?
- Proven senior operations leadership experience within food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environments
- Strong experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
- A hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems and driving operational excellence
- Experience leading and developing teams through periods of growth and transformation
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and using data to inform decisions
- Expertise in procurement, inventory management, production planning and supplier management
- Experience leveraging technology, automation and AI tools to improve operational performance
