You'll work closely with our Technical team to ensure food safety, quality, and compliance remain uncompromising as we grow, and with our Finance team to continually improve cost, productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.

Who We're Looking For

Food manufacturing experience is essential.

Ideally, you'll have significant experience within a chilled food manufacturing environment such as chilled ready meals, prepared foods, food to go, fresh protein, or another complex short shelf life manufacturing environment.

You'll understand the realities of high-volume food manufacturing, including changing demand, multiple SKUs, labor planning, yield, waste, shelf life, food safety, production efficiency, and consistently getting exceptional quality products out of the door.

• Significant operational leadership experience within food manufacturing
• Strong chilled food manufacturing experience highly desirable
• A proven track record of leading and developing operational teams
• Experience improving manufacturing performance, productivity, waste, and yield
• Strong production planning and capacity management experience
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Strong knowledge of operational KPIs and performance management
• Experience building accountable, high-performing management teams
• Exposure to automation, capital investment, factory development, or factory moves would be highly advantageous
• The ability to operate comfortably on both the factory floor and as part of a Senior Leadership Team

The Person

We're looking for someone ambitious, energetic, and hungry to make an impact.

You'll have a real hands-on attitude and naturally want to get stuck into the operation rather than lead it from a distance. You'll be visible, approachable, and comfortable spending time with the teams on the factory floor, understanding challenges first-hand, and making things happen.

You'll need to be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, from discussing our future factory and capacity plans with the Directors to being on the factory floor solving an operational issue with the team.

You'll challenge the status quo, raise standards, and bring new ideas and experience into the business. You'll use data to make decisions, take genuine ownership of performance, and hold yourself and others accountable.

You'll know how to develop people, build strong teams, and create a culture where everyone understands what great looks like.

Most importantly, you'll bring experience, resilience, and energy.

Your First 12 Months

This isn't about maintaining the status quo. You'll be expected to understand the operation quickly, identify opportunities, and start making an impact.
