A predominantly Operations, People and Technology-led leadership role, with a supporting Finance remit
About the Company
A fast-growing professional services firm, expanding its footprint across the UK and Ireland to support ambitious businesses, entrepreneurs and investors. Having built a strong reputation on trusted relationships, commercial insight and technical excellence, the firm is now scaling quickly, opening new locations, growing headcount and investing heavily in the infrastructure needed to support that growth. This is a business in genuine expansion mode, and this role sits right at the centre of making that growth sustainable, building the operational, people and technology foundations a scaling firm needs.
The Role
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the firm's Operations, People, Technology and business support functions, with a supporting hand across financial reporting. Working closely with the Partners, you will provide commercial and operational leadership across the business, driving infrastructure, systems, controls and continuous improvement, while ensuring the firm's people, processes and technology remain aligned to business needs. This is a role for someone who leads from the operational and people side of the business first, with financial literacy as a strong supporting skill rather than the primary focus.

- Support resource planning and operational effectiveness across the business

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
