Head of Operations & IT

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £85,000–£95,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a growing Lloyd's Managing Agency to appoint a Head of Operations & IT who will play a pivotal role in strengthening the firm's Operational Resilience capability and overseeing its outsourced technology estate.

This is not a traditional Head of IT position. Instead, we're looking for someone who has hands-on experience delivering Operational Resilience frameworks within the London Market and who enjoys working closely with third-party technology providers to ensure operational excellence.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the business remains resilient, regulatory compliant, and operationally prepared, while acting as the key point of contact for outsourced IT, cyber security, and operational service providers.

This role would suit someone looking to take the next step into a broader leadership position, offering significant exposure to the COO, Executive Committee, and Board Risk Committee.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Resilience

  • Own and continuously develop the Operational Resilience Framework
  • Lead Important Business Services mapping and impact tolerance assessments
  • Plan, coordinate and execute Operational Resilience scenario testing
  • Own Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate incident management and post-incident reviews
  • Ensure compliance with Lloyd's, PRA, and FCA Operational Resilience requirements
  • Maintain Operational Resilience documentation and regulatory submissions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
