Head of Complaints - Social Housing
Interim Contract | Predominantly Remote / London Meetings
We are recruiting an experienced Head of Complaints for a major housing association, providing senior interim leadership to an established complaints and customer resolution function.
Please note: significant senior-level complaints leadership experience within a housing association/social housing environment is essential for this opportunity.
This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for a function of circa 60 colleagues, including 3 direct reports.
The successful candidate will provide stability and senior leadership while continuing to embed a recently introduced complaints operating model and management system. The service is operating within a relatively stable environment, making this an opportunity to build on existing progress while further strengthening performance, learning and organisational accountability.
You will lead the organisation's complaints function, ensuring residents receive fair, timely and effective resolution when things go wrong.
A major focus will be ensuring that complaints and resident insight are translated into meaningful service improvement, reducing repeat failures and strengthening organisational accountability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
