Head of Operations | Hertfordshire / North London Border (On site)
Salary: Competitive + extensive benefits package
Lead Operations. Drive Growth. Shape the Future.
I’m delighted to be partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution business in the search for an experienced Head of Operations.
My client has built an excellent reputation for quality, compliance and customer service, supplying pharmaceutical products to customers across the UK and international markets. As they continue to invest in their operations and enter an exciting new phase of growth, they are looking to appoint a dynamic operational leader to help shape the future of the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage in its journey, where you’ll have genuine influence over operational strategy, process improvement, people development and business growth - all whilst operating within a highly regulated environment.
The Opportunity
Working as part of the senior leadership team, you’ll take overall responsibility for leading warehouse and operational activities, ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional service to both UK and international customers.
Working closely with Commercial and Quality, you’ll help create a more proactive, efficient and scalable operation, balancing customer expectations with regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll lead a small but expanding operational team, developing capability, improving processes and creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
