Express Recruitment’s Executive Search division are proud to be working in partnership with a rapidly growing, multi-entity organisation operating across healthcare, logistics and supply chain services. Backed by ambitious growth plans, the business is on a journey towards a £50m revenue target and is seeking to appoint a Head of Operations to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering this expansion.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will take full accountability for building and leading a scalable, high-performing operational function. This role will focus on delivering operational excellence across existing operations while designing and implementing the infrastructure, systems and processes required to support future growth, including the transition to a new warehouse and increased adoption of automation technologies.
There is a salary of c£80k on offer, plus 15% bonus, a lucrative profit sharing scheme, 25 days holiday plus stats, 7% employer pension contribution, hybrid working and private healthcare.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within a complex, multi-site or multi-business environment
- Demonstrable track record of scaling operations and delivering operational transformation
- Experience implementing automation, robotics or technology-driven operational improvements
- Good understanding of warehouse, logistics or supply chain operations
- Ability to lead large-scale change programmes while maintaining service continuity
- Experience using ERP, WMS and operational data to drive performance and decision-making
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to deliver both immediate results and long-term capability

Roles & Responsibilities
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing operational team, ensuring clear accountability and strong leadership capability across all functions
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, delivering high standards in safety, quality, accuracy and customer service
- Develop and implement a scalable operational strategy to support significant business growth
- Lead the design, planning and successful transition into a new warehouse operation
- Identify and implement automation, robotics and digital solutions to improve efficiency and productivity
