HEAD OF OPERATIONS – UK REMOTE
Our client is a fast-growing, technology-led business entering an exciting new phase of development.
As the organisation continues to grow, they are looking to appoint a Head of Operations to take ownership of the operational agenda and help build the structure, processes and ways of working required to support the next stage of growth.
This is a high-impact role offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine difference to how the business operates.
THE ROLE
The Head of Operations will take ownership of business-wide operational effectiveness, working closely with the senior leadership team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and developing the Operations function
- Identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical, scalable improvements
- Developing operating frameworks to support continued growth
- Improving communication, accountability, information flow and decision-making
- Enhancing the use of operational metrics, data and reporting
- Translating strategic priorities into effective execution
- Working cross-functionally across commercial, sales, technology and other key areas
- Clarifying responsibilities, workflows and operating processes
- Making effective use of existing support resources
- Challenging existing ways of working and driving constructive change
- Supporting the next stage of organisational development and growth
- Acting as a senior operational partner to the wider leadership team

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial Operations professional with the credibility and capability to take genuine ownership of a broad, cross-functional remit.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be operating at Head of Operations level, or be an ambitious step-up candidate with comparable cross-functional ownership
- Have experience leading Operations, Business Operations or a similar business-wide function
- Ideally have experience within a technology-led or fast-growth business
- Have operated successfully in a scaling environment
- Demonstrate a strong track record of improving processes, accountability and operational effectiveness
- Be comfortable working across commercial and technical functions
- Be confident using data, metrics and business reporting to support decision-making
- Have built structure and operating processes rather than simply managed an established function
- Be comfortable challenging existing ways of working and driving constructive change
- Be highly hands-on, pragmatic and effective at both strategic and executional levels
- Have strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Be commercially minded, solutions-focused and comfortable making decisions with significant autonomy

Candidates below Head of Operations level will also be considered where they have demonstrated meaningful ownership of a comparable remit and are ready to take on broader responsibility.
There is genuine scope for the successful candidate to develop into a Director of Operations role over time.
WORKING BASIS
UK-based and fully remote, with access to a London office. Office attendance is flexible, although some face-to-face interaction will be encouraged.
