Role Description
The Head of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Northampton, responsible for leading day-to-day operational performance across the business. This position oversees end-to-end logistics and fulfilment activities, ensuring service levels, cost efficiency, and compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. The role involves developing and implementing operational strategies, managing resource planning, and optimising processes to improve capacity utilisation and productivity. The Head of Operations will manage and mentor operational teams, set clear KPIs, and collaborate with commercial and client-facing colleagues to support contract delivery and growth. Regular responsibilities include reviewing performance data, managing budgets, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to long-term operational planning.

- Strong Operations Management experience, including process optimisation and end-to-end logistics or supply chain oversight.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret performance data, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, including leadership, coaching, and performance management across multi-functional teams.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging stakeholders, presenting operational plans, and collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Sound Budgeting skills, with experience managing P&L, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Background in logistics, 3PL, fulfilment, or supply chain environments, ideally in a senior operational role.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and KPI-driven performance management.
- Ability to work on-site in Northampton and operate effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field is advantageous.
