🚀 We're Hiring: Head of Operations
All Purpose Cleaning & Catering Supplies Ltd is a well-established wholesale distributor supplying non-food products to trade customers — and we're growing.
We're looking for an experienced Head of Operations to take ownership of our supply chain, warehouse, logistics, admin and customer service functions, and help shape the next stage of our journey.
This is a senior leadership role at the heart of the business. You'll lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive operational excellence, and work closely with our Managing Director and senior leadership team to keep delivering for our customers — accurately, on time, and cost-effectively.
📋 The Role
As Head of Operations, you'll lead and oversee all operational activities across the business — from warehousing and stock management through to logistics and distribution. You'll drive continuous improvement, maintain cost effectiveness, and ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, while managing a strong team of direct reports to deliver departmental goals.

- Leading the end-to-end operational function including warehousing, logistics, and distribution
- Developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with our growth objectives
- Managing and developing a high-performing operations team, setting clear goals and performance expectations
- Overseeing stock management processes — goods-in, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Monitoring and optimising key metrics including order fill rates, delivery performance, and cost per unit
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and best practice across all sites
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to align operational capacity with demand
- Managing third-party logistics providers and carrier relationships
- Preparing operational reports and presenting performance data to senior leadership
👥 Who You'll Be Leading
You'll have direct oversight of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, Head of Customer Service, Head of Purchasing, and the Admin Team — reporting directly into the Managing Director.

🎯 Who We're Looking For
- Proven leadership and people management experience within operations, logistics, or supply chain
- Strong analytical thinking with a data-driven approach to decision making
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities, with the confidence to manage multiple priorities
- Commercial awareness and a track record of effective cost management
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Experience within wholesale distribution, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced supply chain environment is desirable
