The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Order to Cash. As a member of the Marketing Leadership Team, this role is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement of oil products by road from Stanlow and alternative supply locations to customer delivery points, ensuring the highest standards of HSSE compliance are maintained. The successful candidate will also oversee the operational delivery of the end-to-end Order to Cash process, including the management of the offshore GCC team, ensuring seamless transactional processes that support both internal stakeholders, particularly Finance, and external customers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational excellence, customer satisfaction and overall business performance.

Primary Accountabilities
- Lead and manage the Order to Cash (OtC) function, providing leadership, coaching and development for onshore and offshore teams.
- Develop and deliver the Order to Cash and customer interface strategy in partnership with the Head of Commercial Sales & Logistics.
- Ensure the department is aligned with wider business objectives and supports the Commercial Sales & Logistics function effectively.
- Act as the key interface with Retail, ensuring high levels of service and support.
- Maintain robust, compliant and documented departmental processes and procedures.
- Build a high-performing team and strengthen the talent pipeline.
- Oversee departmental governance, compliance and risk management.
- Develop and implement standardised customer onboarding processes and documentation.
- Manage all sales-to-customer processes, ensuring performance meets business and customer expectations.
- Oversee transactional activities from order processing through to invoicing and cash collection.
- Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support collaboration and results delivery.
- Drive an excellent customer experience across all Order to Cash activities.
- Act as a key customer-facing representative, ensuring a seamless billing and service experience.
- Champion transactional improvement initiatives across CRM, SAP, terminal operations, scheduling optimisation, customer portals and management information reporting.
- Enhance system integration and automation to improve data quality, efficiency and business performance.
- Promote best practice in HSSE, compliance, governance and reporting.
- Act as the Triple Goal Zero Champion for the function.
- Lead audit compliance activities and ensure all reporting requirements are met.
- Drive process, operational and cost improvement initiatives across Distribution and Order to Cash activities.
- Identify and deliver cost efficiencies while supporting wider business improvement programmes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, EPS and other stakeholders to develop and implement commercial strategies.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across distribution planning, VMI and customer order management.
- Work with IT and business stakeholders to identify and implement effective digital solutions.
- Establish and drive continuous improvement programmes, including optimisation of the AMCS platform.

About You
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant business discipline, with a Master's qualification and/or a Project Management qualification considered advantageous. Candidates with significant relevant experience in a similar role will also be considered.
You will have substantial experience across the full order-to-transaction commercial cycle, with strong expertise in road distribution and a comprehensive understanding of the UK oil products supply and operations landscape. As a subject matter expert in commercial processes, including SAP, you will have a proven track record of delivering business improvement initiatives, leading vendor onboarding projects, and working collaboratively across functions to drive successful outcomes.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential, along with proficiency in SAP and distribution optimisation software. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, sound financial acumen, a customer-focused approach, and strong compliance awareness. An entrepreneurial mindset, combined with a balanced understanding of commercial risk and reward, will be key to success in this role.
