Head of Out of Home — XOXO Drinks
Location: London (London Bridge) - 3+ days a week in office
Reports to: Rory Paterson, Co-Founder & CEO
About XOXO
XOXO makes prebiotic functional soda - the soda that loves you back. We're three years in and already in every UK grocer’s, plus over 25,000 points of distribution across Europe including Albert Heijn, Rewe, Edeka and Zabka. We're the fastest-growing brand in the UK prebiotic soda segment.
Retail has been the engine so far. Out of Home is next. We want someone to build it from the ground up.
The Role
We're hiring a Head of Out of Home to build and own our Foodservice, Delivered Wholesale, and Contract Catering channel from scratch. This isn't managing an existing book — it's starting one. You'll set the strategy, land the first accounts, and build the team under you as the channel grows.
You'll work directly with Rory and the wider sales team on go-to-market, and alongside our existing 28 named distributors (Brakes/Sysco, LWC Drinks, United Wholesale Scotland among them) to convert breadth into real depth in OOH.
What You'll Do
- Build the OOH channel strategy and own the P&L for it - targets, pricing architecture, and route to market across Foodservice, Delivered Wholesale, and Contract Catering.
- Win new business. Prospect and close key accounts directly, and expand distribution through existing wholesale partners rather than starting distributor relationships from zero.
- Manage central trading relationships with major foodservice and wholesale customers, and coordinate with their RTM sales teams to drive stock push and pull at both channel and account level.
- Build customer plans that deliver growth this year and next - not just a listing, but a plan to grow it.
- Own visibility and activation in-channel: work with marketing on trade assets, sampling, and on-site activations that build the brand where people are eating and drinking out of home.
- Represent XOXO at trade shows and industry events.
- Report performance weekly, keep the CRM honest, and own OOH forecasting end to end.
- Feed competitor and category intelligence back into the business - you'll be closer to this channel than anyone else at XOXO.
- As the channel scales, hire and build out an OOH team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years in Out of Home sales, with a track record that goes from field sales through account management into a channel-leading or head-of role.
- Real, current relationships across Foodservice and Delivered Wholesale - people who'll take your call.
- Experience building a channel or a significant account book largely from scratch, not just managing one you inherited.
- Comfortable owning commercials and forecasting, not just relationships.
- A founder mentality: you want ownership, you're not waiting to be told what to do, and you're fine with the ambiguity of an early-stage brand that doesn't have this function figured out yet.
- Genuine interest in the functional soda category and where it's headed.
