Head of Paid Search

The opportunity

We are recruiting a Head of Paid Search for a business finance provider supporting businesses with access to funding.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded paid search specialist to take ownership of a key customer acquisition channel. You will combine strategic direction with hands-on campaign management, building a programme that delivers high-quality enquiries and measurable revenue growth.

The role would suit an experienced Head of PPC or Paid Search, or a Senior Paid Search Manager ready to take on broader ownership.

The role

You will own paid search strategy, investment and performance, working closely with marketing and sales to understand which campaigns generate customers and commercial value. You will bring a disciplined approach to testing, reporting and optimisation, connecting campaign activity with the full customer journey—from initial enquiry through to funded business.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the paid search strategy across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
  • Take ownership of campaign planning, account structure, keyword targeting, bidding, ad copy and ongoing optimisation.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and spend allocation to deliver against agreed acquisition and revenue targets.
  • Improve lead quality and conversion, using sales feedback and customer outcomes to inform campaign decisions.
  • Work with colleagues and external partners to ensure conversion tracking, call tracking and CRM reporting provide a reliable view of performance.
  • Use offline conversion data to optimise towards qualified enquiries and funded customers.
  • Partner with marketing and website teams to test landing pages, messaging and application journeys.
  • Build a structured testing programme to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Provide clear reporting on performance, commercial impact and recommended actions.
  • Manage any agency or specialist support, setting clear expectations and accountability.
  • Establish strong paid search processes and help shape the resources needed as the channel develops.
  • Ensure advertising is accurate and follows relevant platform policies and internal approval requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
