Department: Commercial & Partnerships

Location: London

Description

In this role, you will also be required to travel to meet with our partners face-to-face. When you're not on the road, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of two days per week in either our London or Fleet offices.

Tempcover is at the forefront of the fast-growing world of short-term insurance. Our mission is to make car insurance flexible, quick, and easy for drivers. We’ve sold millions of policies that have helped drivers get where they need to go, but we’re not finished there. We’re growing our team to help us continue in that mission. If you are extraordinary at what you do and want to be a part of a rapidly growing business at the cutting edge of the InsureTech industry, we would love to hear from you!

We’re part of RVU, a group of online brands that include: Confused, Uswitch, money.co.uk, and Mojo Mortgages.

The Opportunity

As Head of Partnerships, you'll join at a pivotal moment for Tempcover. You’ll inherit a strong portfolio of partnerships giving you a strong starting position, as well as having the autonomy to seek new partners, and truly shape our commercial relationships. This role has a clear trajectory: as we scale, so does the opportunity, including the chance to build and lead a small team of your own.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take full ownership of Tempcover's partnership relationships, from onboarding through to long-term growth. Day-to-day, that means:

  • Developing and building long-term professional relationships with existing and new partners to meet and exceed our mutual targets.
  • Working closely with our Pricing and Underwriting team to develop new commercial propositions.
  • Active prospecting and outreach to senior stakeholders at key target opportunities.
  • Leading the onboarding process for new partners ensuring it is delivered as per the client’s requirements. This will involve working closely with the internal Product and Tech, and liaising with the client; supporting with project briefs, contract development and sign off, due diligence, compliance, MI and reporting.
  • Scanning the market and originating opportunities: Identifying and actively prospecting key target opportunities in the automotive and insurance sectors, engaging directly with senior decision makers.
  • Owning the portfolio: Elevating and expanding a strong existing portfolio of partnerships, maintaining a rigorous performance rhythm to meet and exceed mutual targets.
  • Introducing new products and services to existing partners that benefit customers.
  • Operating as the commercial anchor: Serving as the lead point of contact and senior commercial voice of the partner internally, adeptly navigating and resolving complex product, service, or operational challenges.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who's done this before, who knows how to build trust with partner contacts at every level, and who brings both the commercial instinct and the personal credibility to make things happen. Beyond the day-to-day, we're looking for someone who thinks about what the role could grow into, not just what it is today.

You’ll Bring

  • A track record of growing complex B2B partnerships end-to-end, not just maintaining accounts, but actively owning the commercial outcome and driving proactive growth.
  • Experience operating at senior stakeholder levels, both internally and externally, with the credibility to influence partner strategy and the authority to drive decisions.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills utilising data to size opportunities, stress-test propositions, and translate insights into tangible commercial actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate cross-functional internal teams (Product, Tech, Pricing, Underwriting) to get complex partner propositions live without losing momentum.
  • An understanding of the automotive and insurance/insurtech markets is highly desirable, but a sharp commercial mindset and adaptability are paramount.
  • High energy and autonomy: You are a self-starter who thrives in an agile, fast-paced scale-up environment, bringing proactive problem-solving to the table.
