Head of Pension and Trusts Knowledge | Central London (Hybrid/Remote Flexible)

Are you an outstanding pensions and trusts lawyer looking for a change of direction — without giving up intellectual challenge or work-life balance?

Our client, a leading online legal knowledge service for law firms and in-house lawyers, is looking for a top-quality senior pensions and trusts lawyer to join its Knowledge Team as Head of Pension and Trusts Knowledge.

Our client has built a reputation for offering an unmatched legal knowledge service to corporate lawyers, with over 85% of the top 100 corporate law firms among its clients. Following the successful launch of a Restructuring & Insolvency service, the business is now developing a new Pension and Trusts service, backed by a forthcoming partnership with a leading pensions and trusts chambers.

The Opportunity

A rare chance to join a fast-growing digital business in a senior leadership role — playing a central part in creating, launching and growing the new Pension and Trusts offering, working closely with expert barristers, experienced in-house knowledge lawyers and the legal editorial team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of the Pension and Trusts knowledge service
  • Managing scoping, writing, review, editing and maintenance of high-quality legal content
  • Coordinating collaboration with barristers, external experts and specialist contributors
  • Supporting customer engagement and assessing market needs
  • Managing and developing team members, including recruitment and training
  • Liaising with other Team Heads on cross-practice content
  • Working with senior management on project plans and reporting
  • Liaising with the Development Team on technical solutions

About You

  • At least 6 years' PQE with strong technical knowledge and broad experience of UK pensions and trusts law (Bar or law firm background)
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail, with a genuine interest in communicating legal developments clearly and accessibly
  • Strong managerial, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently to deadlines, while collaborating closely with knowledge lawyers and barristers
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving environment

The Package

  • Based at a central London office with full flexibility for remote working. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.
  • Salary highly competitive and dependent on experience.
