I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a hands-on role. We are not looking for someone who wants to sit behind policies and processes. We want someone who can understand the operation, work closely with senior leaders, challenge what is not working, and build practical systems that improve both employee experience and business performance.
A key part of the role
The organisation wants to strengthen the full Care Professional journey from attraction through to long-term retention. That means asking better questions around:
- How we attract the right people
- How we prepare them properly
- How we support them through their first weeks
- How we improve engagement
- How we retain stronger people for longer
- How workforce planning supports sustainable growth
You will have the opportunity to shape this properly rather than simply inherit a fixed model.
Who we’re looking for
You may currently be a:
- Head of People
- People Manager
- HR Manager
- People & Culture Manager
- Workforce Manager
- Recruitment & Retention Manager
- Senior Talent Acquisition Manager
Previous care-sector experience is useful, but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who understand frontline, dispersed, or high-volume workforces, whether from care, healthcare, staffing, hospitality, retail, logistics, or field services.
