Harris Hill Partners with National Charity for New Head of People and Culture

Harris Hill is delighted to be partnering with a well-established national charity in the search for their new Head of People and Culture. For almost a century, this organisation has been creating healthier, more inclusive communities through practical programmes, national campaigns and meaningful advocacy, helping to improve people's everyday lives across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team at a pivotal point in the organisation's journey, leading its people agenda while helping to shape its future culture, strategy and ways of working. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with one day a week in the London office.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the development and delivery of the organisation's People and Culture strategy, ensuring it supports both organisational objectives and an outstanding colleague experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic HR leadership across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Advise senior leaders on organisational development, workforce planning, employee relations, change management, learning and development, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and performance management.
  • Oversee the People function, manage and develop a small team.
  • Maintain robust HR policies and systems.
  • Monitor people-related KPIs.
  • Work closely with the Senior Management Team and Board to drive continuous improvement, positive organisational change and an inclusive, values-led culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
