Head of People & HR Transformation Consulting

Are you a commercially minded People Transformation leader with the credibility to engage C-suite stakeholders, win complex consulting engagements and build a high-performing practice from the ground up?

We're partnered with a highly respected transformation and business services organisation embarking on an exciting growth journey. As part of a significant investment in consulting capability, they are seeking a Head of People & HR Transformation Consulting to establish and lead a new practice focused on helping organisations transform their people, workforce and HR functions.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a new offering, define the go-to-market strategy, build a team and play a pivotal role in driving business growth.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a senior leadership team, you will lead the development of a People & HR Transformation consulting practice, partnering with Chief People Officers, HR Directors and Transformation Leaders to solve complex organisational challenges.

You will combine strategic advisory expertise with practical delivery capability, helping clients design and implement large-scale workforce and HR transformation programmes that deliver measurable business outcomes.

This role offers a genuine opportunity to build something from the ground up, operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant backing and investment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Define and execute the consulting strategy and growth plan
  • Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships
  • Generate and convert consulting opportunities across multiple sectors
  • Lead complex bids, proposals and client presentations
  • Build a sustainable sales pipeline and drive revenue growth
  • Develop thought leadership and represent the business at industry events

Client Engagement & Delivery

  • Lead major workforce and HR transformation programmes from strategy through to implementation
  • Advise executive stakeholders on workforce strategy, operating model design and organisational change
  • Oversee programme governance, financial performance and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes and transformation benefits
  • Partner with wider technology and operational teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Practice Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing consulting team
  • Develop new propositions, methodologies and reusable assets
  • Recruit, coach and develop consulting talent
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Take ownership of practice performance, utilisation and profitability

You will likely bring:

  • Significant experience leading workforce, people or HR transformation programmes
  • A strong track record of originating and winning consulting work
  • Experience building senior client relationships at executive level
  • Expertise in operating model design, organisational transformation and change
  • A history of leading complex, technology-enabled transformation initiatives
  • Experience building and developing consulting teams and propositions
  • Strong commercial acumen with ownership of revenue or P&L targets
  • The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility
