Delaware North UK is hiring a full-time Head of People Operations to join our collaborative team at London Stadium in Stratford, East London. As Head of People Operations, you will be leading the people team to achieve business goals, guiding them through engaging people-focused policies and best-in-class practices. Responsibilities
- Oversee team planning and distribution for event and non-event schedules, supporting the people team to ensure exceptional quality and appropriate scheduling of team members at the London Stadium
- Assign responsibilities to the people team, supporting strong relationships with team members to maximise engagement and performance
- Set and monitor direct booking and agency partner ratios, tracking KPIs to ensure effective scheduling solutions
- Ensure appropriate team training on the Time and Attendance System, building accurate templates and repeating rosters for optimal operations
- Manage agency relationships, proactively communicate with team members, and collaborate with operations and Talent Acquisition teams to support payroll processes, develop training, retention strategies, and build up the internal casual workforce
Qualifications
- Degree in a related field or 5+ years’ experience, including 2+ years’ experience in a similar organisation and role with a variable workforce, and managing multiple agency relationships
- Part CIPD Qualified or equivalent is beneficial
- Knowledge or ability to use an HR information system, including accessing, inputting, and compiling data
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, people focus, relationship building, customer service, and presenting, as well as organisation, time management, prioritisation, and project management

Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel and work at the London Stadium, and possibly other venues as necessary
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for matchdays and event days, due to events-based nature of the team

Delaware North has managed the hospitality services at London Stadium since 2015. Home of the Hammers and UK Athletics, this 60 – 80,000 stadium has been at the centre of world-class events. Starting off hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics, London Stadium has grown to hold a vibrant portfolio of elite sporting events and concerts. From Europe’s first MLB Series, IRB 2015 Rugby World Cup matches, annual Athletics events, to artists like Burna Boy, Iron Maiden, Take That, and Metallica, there’s always something exciting happening at London Stadium.
