Head of Performance Marketing

Surrey/London - hybrid, 1x a week in office

Up to £100,000 + 20% Bonus

This is an opportunity to take ownership of performance marketing at a pivotal stage of growth for a leading direct-to-consumer consumer brand. You'll have the scope to shape strategy, influence senior leadership decisions, and build a high-performing function that connects media investment to broader commercial outcomes including customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.

They are a fast-growing consumer business operating within a highly digital, subscription-led model. With an established customer base and a strong focus on customer retention, they combine product innovation with data-driven decision making to drive sustainable growth.

Following recent investment, the business is continuing to scale while maintaining an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture. Growth, brand, product, and ecommerce teams work closely together, creating an environment where your recommendations will have visible commercial impact.

The Role

As Head of Performance Marketing, you will lead the overall performance marketing strategy across key digital acquisition channels while developing the existing team and operating model.

  • Owning and evolving the performance marketing strategy across paid digital channels
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing an established performance marketing team
  • Connecting channel performance to wider commercial objectives, including CAC, LTV, retention, and subscription economics
  • Advising senior leadership on budget allocation, growth opportunities, and measurement frameworks
  • Assessing agency relationships and determining the optimal balance between internal and external capabilities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve acquisition efficiency and overall marketing effectiveness
  • Working closely with CRM, brand, creative, ecommerce, and product teams to optimise the customer journey
  • Developing a clear view on attribution, incrementality, and performance measurement
  • Evaluating new channels, technologies, and growth opportunities as the business expands
  • Providing strategic recommendations that influence future investment and organisational design

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong performance marketing leadership experience within a consumer-focused digital environment - ideally in the wellness space
  • Commercially minded with the ability to connect marketing activity to business outcomes
  • Deep understanding of paid media channels including platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, and related acquisition channels
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
  • Strong knowledge of attribution, incrementality, CAC, LTV, ROAS, and customer payback metrics
  • Ability to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders, and provide strategic direction
  • Experience operating within DTC, subscription, ecommerce, or customer-led business models
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on understanding of channel performance
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities supported by data and insight
