Head of Performance Marketing

Location: UK — 4 days per week in office
Reports to: Managing Director

MagnetIX is proud to be partnering with an independent, globally recognised luxury beauty brand as they enter an exciting phase of continued global growth and US expansion.

With a distinctive point of view, exceptional products and a highly engaged global customer base, the brand is investing in the next stage of its growth — and is looking for an ambitious Head of Performance Marketing to build its global paid marketing capability from the ground up.

This is a genuinely pivotal role. As the brand’s first in-house paid marketing specialist, you’ll own the performance strategy across markets and channels, while creating the content engine, testing culture, data and infrastructure needed to build a best-in-class function.

You’ll be commercially and analytically minded, but equally passionate about creative. You understand that the best performance marketing sits at the intersection of great creative, great data and a deep understanding of the customer.

What you’ll do

  • Own the global performance marketing strategy and budget across Meta, Google, YouTube, Reddit, affiliates and emerging channels.
  • Define the role of each channel and how the brand wins within each environment.
  • Own business-level performance KPIs including CAC, payback and revenue contribution, ensuring paid marketing ladders directly into the wider growth plan.
  • Build the creative operating model for performance, creating a consistent content engine that feeds paid platforms.
  • Define the requirements, briefing process and rhythm for performance content generation, working closely with the Production team to efficiently capture and repurpose content.
  • Establish a rigorous approach to testing, scaling and replicating high-performing creative across channels and markets.
  • Build the data, reporting and feedback loops required to continuously learn and optimise.
  • Own relationships with external paid media agencies, setting clear targets, maintaining a high bar and ensuring the business benefits from the latest industry thinking and best practice.
  • Work closely with Design to ensure paid creative delivers both conversion and long-term brand value.
  • Define the role of UGC, affiliates and influencer partnerships within the wider performance strategy, working closely with PR and other external partners.
  • Ensure paid activity is fully integrated with the wider marketing calendar, brand launches and ecommerce activations.
  • Explore how AI can improve processes and efficiency while keeping human creativity and judgement at the heart of the work.
  • Bring paid marketing into wider leadership conversations around LTV, retention, customer economics and sustainable growth.
  • Define the future structure of the performance marketing function and build the team as the business scales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience leading performance marketing in a fast-paced, digitally led consumer business. You may already be a Head of Performance, or be operating at the level where this is your natural next step.
  • Deep expertise across paid social, particularly Meta, with a strong understanding of what drives performance at scale.
  • A proven track record of managing and scaling significant paid media budgets and delivering measurable commercial growth.
  • Experience in the US market is essential, with a strong understanding of the US consumer and digital landscape.
  • Experience within premium beauty, beauty, fashion, accessories, retail or another highly visual, female-focused consumer category.
  • A rare combination of creative strategist and analytical thinker — you can look at a piece of content and understand both why it works creatively and what the data is telling you.
  • Experience working closely with content, creative, UGC or production teams, with a strong understanding of what makes performance creative successful.
  • Experience building or significantly improving performance marketing processes, rather than simply managing an established machine.
  • Experience working with external agencies and partners, with the confidence to set direction, challenge thinking and hold people accountable.
  • Experience with affiliate, influencer or commercial partnership channels would be a strong advantage.
  • A highly commercial mindset, with the ability to connect performance marketing decisions to revenue, LTV, retention and wider business performance.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable operating in an environment where you will need to build, test, learn and solve problems yourself.
  • Highly ambitious and excited by the opportunity to create a best-in-industry performance function within a distinctive independent brand.

Why this role?

This isn't a role where you'll be handed an established performance machine and asked to keep it running.

You'll be joining at a point where there is a genuine opportunity to build the function, shape the strategy and define how performance marketing works across the business globally.

You'll have ownership across media, creative, content, data and agency relationships, with the opportunity to build a team around you as the business scales.

If you're a performance marketing leader who combines commercial rigour with exceptional creative judgement, understands the US market and wants the opportunity to build something genuinely ambitious, we'd love to hear from you.
