Head of Platform Engineering | AI Scale-Up | London
Build the platform powering the future of AI.
We're partnering with a rapidly growing, venture-backed AI company that's transforming how leading financial institutions leverage artificial intelligence. Following major recent investment and significant customer growth, they're looking for a Head of Platform Engineering to lead the next phase of platform maturity and scale.
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious engineering organisation at a pivotal stage of growth and take ownership of the infrastructure, reliability, security, and developer experience that underpins the entire business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Define and execute the Platform Engineering strategy
- Scale cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities
- Lead and grow a high-performing Platform Engineering team
- Own Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and cloud operations
- Drive reliability, observability and performance across the engineering organisation
- Lead security, compliance and operational excellence initiatives
- Improve developer productivity and enable faster, safer deployments
- Partner closely with Engineering Leadership to shape the company's technical future

What We're Looking For
- Experience leading Platform, Infrastructure, SRE or DevOps teams
- Strong background in cloud-native environments
- Deep Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise
- Proven experience scaling engineering organisations
- Strong understanding of security, reliability and operational best practices
- Builder mindset with a passion for creating engineering platforms that accelerate teams
