Head of PMO
Location: Northamptonshire
Engagement: Permanent
Package: up to £140,000 + bonus + benefits
Sponsorship: Unable to provide sponsorship for this position
A newly created Head of PMO role with a large, well-established UK organisation, offering broad ownership across portfolio governance and delivery.
About our client
Our client is a large UK organisation with a national network and a strong market position. The business is investing significantly in transformation and change, and is building out its senior PMO leadership capability to support a growing portfolio.
What you'll be doing as a Head of PMO
- Owning the PMO function end to end, from governance through to delivery
- Owning PMO strategy, standards and ways of working across the change portfolio
- Driving prioritisation, resourcing and investment decisions across a complex portfolio
- Partnering with senior stakeholders and the exec team to align change with strategic priorities
- Building and developing a high-performing PMO team
- Shaping the maturity and capability of the PMO function as a strategic asset, not just a reporting function

What we're looking for from the Head of PMO
- Proven experience leading a PMO function that spans both governance and delivery, not just one
- A track record of running large, complex change portfolios in a matrixed organisation
- Gravitas and credibility to influence at exec and board level
- Experience building and scaling PMO capability and standards from the ground up
- Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery accountability
- Strong stakeholder management across IT, business and executive audiences

Qualifications
- MSP, MoP or equivalent PMO / portfolio management certification
- Degree level or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline
