Head of PMO
Tamworth, Staffordshire (Hybrid-Working - x3 days on site)
Up to c£65,000 per year
Plus an excellent benefits package (including 28 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Healthcare, Pension, etc.)
Skills and Experience
- Experience running a PMO and implementing project delivery processes
- Experience delivering engineering and product development projects.
- Proven knowledge of techniques for designing, planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
- Proven knowledge of programme and project management methods
- Experience of SAP Business ByDesign and Microsoft Project
- Sound business development and approval skills
- Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
- Sufficient experience, seniority and credibility to advise the senior leadership team on project progress and escalate issues
- MSP, APM, MRICS or Prince 2 or a similar qualification

The Opportunity
My client based in the renewables sector are looking for a Head of PMO on a permanent basis. The Head of PMO is responsible for the oversight of the Project Management Office and delivery of the programme portfolio, including delivery of all projects, both internal engineering and external customer delivery. This includes the formalisation of a PMO and the maintenance of a common set of project delivery processes to enable management and reporting on schedule, resource, finance, risk and overall project performance. The Head of PMO will lead the PMO, distribute projects across the team in accordance with the organisational structure and will communicate project progress to the Senior Leadership Team and ensure the overall programme is delivering the strategic objectives of the company.
