Head of Portfolio Management | £90,000 | Bristol (Hybrid)
Peaple Talent is partnering with a leading professional services organisation undergoing significant investment across its transformation agenda. As the organisation continues to grow and evolve, they’re looking for an experienced Head of Portfolio Management & Delivery to play a pivotal role in translating strategy into meaningful business outcomes.
This is a senior leadership opportunity sitting within the Transformation and Operational Excellence function, with responsibility for shaping how change initiatives are selected, prioritised, sequenced and delivered across the organisation.
You’ll work closely with executive leadership, Partners, business services and technology teams, providing the structure, governance and insight needed to make informed investment decisions and ensure the transformation portfolio delivers real value.
We’re looking for someone who is strategically sharp but operationally rigorous, comfortable navigating complexity and confident making difficult trade-offs across competing priorities, budgets, resources and delivery demands.

What You'll Bring:
- Significant experience leading complex transformation portfolios within a fast-paced environment
- Strong experience translating organisational strategy into prioritised roadmaps and delivery plans
- Extensive enterprise portfolio management and governance experience
- Proven programme and project delivery leadership
- Experience with portfolio prioritisation, investment planning and demand management
- Strong understanding of benefits realisation, KPI tracking and value-focused delivery
- Experience overseeing budgets, financial planning and business case development
- Strong resource, capacity and workforce planning experience
- Experience managing portfolio-level risks, issues, dependencies and assurance
- Proven ability to establish governance forums, reporting frameworks and effective decision-making processes
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills, including experience engaging with Executive teams and senior leaders
- Experience delivering technology-enabled business transformation
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing delivery teams

Nice to Have:
- Professional services experience
- Experience driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- Understanding of organisational change and change management principles
- Relevant qualifications such as MoP, MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or equivalent
- Experience introducing tools and improved ways of working to increase portfolio visibility and delivery predictability
