Our clients range from freight forwarders and 3PLs to supply chain operators serving highly regulated, high-value industries, with particular depth in Life Sciences, Pharma, Oil & Gas & High Value/ Luxury Goods. We are known for genuine sector knowledge, credible relationships at senior level, and a consultative approach to talent.

The Opportunity

We are creating a new Head of Practice role to build and lead our Senior to Executive Human Resources recruitment offering globally. This is a founder-style opportunity for an established HR recruiter to own a desk, shape a proposition, and grow a team with real autonomy and full backing from the business.

You will be trusted to set the direction of the practice, win and manage strategic client relationships, and build a reputation as the go-to partner for HR leadership hiring across the logistics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Practice leadership and strategy

  • Define and execute the strategy for the HR practice, including target markets, client segments, service lines, and revenue goals
  • Build a dedicated global desk and offering, with the autonomy to decide how it is structured and scaled
  • Own the practice P&L and deliver against revenue, margin, and growth targets

Business development and client management

  • Develop and manage relationships with CHROs, HR Directors, Heads of Talent, and C-suite stakeholders across logistics, life sciences, pharma, oil & gas & High Value Goods supply chains
  • Win new business through proactive outreach, networking, thought leadership, and market mapping
  • Lead client conversations on workforce planning, leadership succession, and organisational design
  • Negotiate terms and secure retained and exclusive engagements

Executive search and delivery

  • Personally deliver senior and executive-level HR searches (e.g. CHRO, HR Director, Head of Talent Acquisition, Head of Reward, HRBP leadership, Head of OD/L&D)
  • Run high-quality search processes: market mapping, direct approach, assessment, shortlisting, offer negotiation, and onboarding support
  • Provide clients with credible market intelligence on compensation, talent availability, and hiring trends

Team building and development

  • Recruit, coach, and develop consultants and researchers as the desk grows
  • Set performance standards, delivery methodology, and a high-performance culture in a remote environment
  • Contribute to the wider leadership team on group strategy and cross-practice collaboration

Brand and market presence

  • Represent the business at industry events, roundtables, and conferences
  • Build a strong personal and company profile through content, insights, and speaking
  • Collaborate with marketing on reports, salary surveys, and campaigns aligned to the practice

Experience and Skills

Essential

  • Substantial track record in senior to executive HR recruitment or executive search, ideally at Head of Practice, Director, or Partner level
  • Strong, demonstrable experience within the logistics sector; exposure to life sciences, pharma, or oil & gas is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to originate business and build long-term relationships with senior HR and business leaders
  • Experience running retained or exclusive search assignments
  • A credible existing network among HR leaders in logistics or adjacent industries
  • Experience building, leading, or mentoring a team, or a clear ambition and aptitude to do so
  • Commercial acumen, with a history of hitting or exceeding billing targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative skills at board level

  • Experience hiring across multiple geographies (EMEA, Americas, APAC)
  • Knowledge of regulated environments such as GDP, GxP, and cold chain, and of the HR challenges specific to them
  • Additional languages
  • Experience launching a new desk or division
