We're partnering with a rapidly growing Managed Services Provider
We are seeking an experienced Head of Presales / Head of Solutions Architecture to lead its solution design function and play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, technical innovation, and customer success.
This is a strategic leadership position where you'll sit at the intersection of sales, delivery, and technology, ensuring clients receive innovative, commercially viable, and technically robust solutions across the Microsoft, Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, and Managed Services landscape.
The Opportunity
As Head of Presales, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Solutions Architecture and Presales function, ensuring the business continues to deliver market-leading solutions that address client challenges while supporting commercial objectives.
You'll work closely with Sales Leadership, Service Delivery, Product Teams, and Executive Stakeholders to shape technical strategy, improve presales processes, and influence the future direction of the business.
This role combines hands-on solution design with leadership, mentoring, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Presales Consultants and Solutions Architects.
- Define and execute the technical presales strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer outcomes.
- Establish best practices, governance, and standards across the solution design lifecycle.
- Act as a senior technical leader across the organisation.

Presales & Solution Design
- Own the end-to-end presales process from qualification through to solution sign-off.
- Provide strategic oversight for complex customer engagements and technical bids.
- Design innovative solutions across:
- Microsoft 365
- Azure
- Modern Workplace
- Cyber Security
- Infrastructure & Cloud
- Managed Services
- Ensure solutions are commercially viable, scalable, and deliver measurable customer value.
- Review and approve solution designs, statements of work, and technical proposals.
Business Development & Customer Engagement
- Partner closely with Sales teams to support strategic opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, and senior business stakeholders.
- Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, and executive presentations.
- Support RFPs, RFIs, tenders, and bid responses.
- Act as a senior technical ambassador for the business.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven experience leading a Presales, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consultancy function within an MSP, Consultancy, Systems Integrator, or Technology Services environment.
- Strong background in solution design across Microsoft and Managed Services technologies.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical excellence with business outcomes.
- Track record of supporting enterprise and mid-market sales opportunities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
