Based in Manchester, this permanent full-time role leads new premium sales growth across football matchdays, concerts and major stadium events at the Etihad Stadium. You will shape the acquisition strategy for premium hospitality, build relationships and lead a sales team that turns demand into meaningful commercial growth.
Who We Are
Founded in 2013, City Football Group is the world’s leading private owner and operator of football clubs, with teams across the globe connected by a shared belief in doing things differently. Alongside our clubs, we invest in football-related businesses and build partnerships that help the game, and the communities around it, thrive. Everything we do is guided by our purpose: empowering better lives through football. Rooted in more than a century of “City” football, we are proud of the role our clubs play locally and globally, creating positive impact on and off the pitch.
Within our Matchday and Major Stadium Events department, we create premium experiences across football, concerts and major events at the Etihad Stadium. Our commercial teams work together to connect clients with memorable experiences while delivering sustainable growth for the Group.
The Role
As Head of Premium Hospitality Sales, you will own the new business strategy and sales performance for our premium hospitality portfolio. You will be responsible for growing revenue from premium inventory across matchdays and major events, using a clear view of pipeline, conversion and demand to maximise opportunity and support the commercial goals of the stadium.
You will translate the wider growth strategy into a practical 12-month sales plan, balancing inbound and outbound activity and adapting priorities as inventory, customer demand and performance trends evolve. You will lead senior sales conversations, pitches and negotiations, developing tailored propositions for high-value and bespoke opportunities across boxes, lounges, VIP and experiential hospitality.
Alongside your own commercial contribution, you will lead, coach and develop a high-performing premium new-business sales team. You will embed clear targets, consistent sales processes, effective CRM and pipeline management, accurate forecasting and a disciplined approach to prospecting and conversion. Working closely with Marketing, Partnerships, Operations and the wider hospitality team, you will help ensure a seamless journey from initial engagement through to delivery and long-term client growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
