About MPLC

MPLC is the legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe. For over 30 years, we’ve been the trusted partner to major Hollywood studios, independent producers, and the wider creative ecosystem, ensuring content creators are paid fairly and organisations respect copyright.

The Role in Two Bullet Points

  • Maximize the royalties we collect for our licence holders on renewals. Add a minimum 10% to the value of the UK and USA royalty renewal book in your first year.
  • Do this while protecting our brand and remaining customer focused.

This is a Growth Role that will be informed by information, insight and data but it is not a data analyst role. We do expect you will want data to help inform your decisions so when creating this role we have also created the budget for two data analysts that could be in your team if needed.

We are looking for:

  • Growth of the renewals portfolio in the UK and US by the KPI set out when you join
  • Making decisions on a daily basis to optimise licence renewal pricing. We send hundreds of renewal invoices out every week and we are looking to optimise our pricing from day one of you starting in the role.
  • Building great relationships with all your key stakeholders and helping manage the communications on licence fees to customers, internal teams and management
  • and using data to clearly communicate and evidence the progress we are making on behalf of our rights holders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we are not looking for:

  • Someone who builds a load of spreadsheets/reporting or analysis but does not take action.
  • Providing recommendations and relying on others to make the decisions—making decisions is a key part of your role.
  • Someone who is overly conservative—your role is to maximize the growth of the renewal book. It’s essential to maintain respect for our customer relationships and contracts, while having a laser focus on driving growth in royalties for our studios.

You will love this job if…

  • You are a self-starter, able to self-motivate and are hugely excited by the opportunity to make dramatic change in a fast-growing international company.
  • You want to build something new and not follow in someone else’s path
  • You are unafraid to test and try things and make many decisions quickly without perfect data sets and information.

You will not love this job if…

  • You want to come into a role where there is an existing playbook and existing processes because this is a new role and you will have to invent them
  • You expect perfect data at your fingertips. We have all the data but no one has used it for this purpose before so you will need to take ownership of understanding and interpreting it.
  • You are a perfectionist looking for certainty and we don’t foresee that in this role. There is no data set that will help you more than testing and measuring the results. You will need to be our pioneer on this journey.
