Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

We believe that the right partnerships can drive extraordinary change. If you’re a values-driven, strategic, relationship-builder who thrives on developing ambitious collaborations, leading high performing teams, and working with businesses to drive social impact, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Oxfam's corporate partnerships.

The Role

Oxfam is looking for an inspirational and dynamic Head of Private Sector Partnerships to lead a team of partnership managers to build and nurture partnerships with private sector priority sectors that provide high-quality funding for Oxfam’s work and enable businesses to operate more ethically and sustainably.

The team works across a range of areas, including co-created programme partnerships, sustainability and supply chain initiatives, flexible funding, cause-related marketing and emergency appeals aligned to divisional objectives and Oxfam’s Global Strategic Framework.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

For this role it is essential to be able to demonstrate:

  • Self-Awareness
  • Relationship building experience
  • Influencing skills

An ideal candidate for the role will also demonstrate the following:

  • Being a proactive leader with experience of driving team and individual performance and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, in particular using feminist leadership principles.
  • Have a commercial outlook based on experience developing and securing six and seven figure partnerships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate sustainability trends and their implications for NGO partnerships.
  • A track record in building a variety of corporate-NGO partnerships (including programme partnerships, brand engagements, corporate philanthropy etc.) to drive income and support wider organisational objectives.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills, able to quickly develop strong networks across a large and complex organisation, understand the needs and drivers of others, and shape and influence a variety of (sometimes conflicting) approaches and priorities.
  • Confident written and spoken communicator with the ability to inspire prospects, partners, supporters, colleagues and peers within both technical and more general discussions.
  • Experience planning and delivering long-term strategies, focused on achieving results, and comfortable making decisions consistent with strategy and values in the face of complexity and ambiguity.
  • Ability to budget and monitor income and expenditure.
  • High levels of curiosity & external awareness and a passion for Oxfam GB’s mission.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
