Job Summary:
AUREOS INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LIMITED, as part of the JV between Taylor Woodrow and Aureos, is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Procurement to lead and optimize all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, supplier performance for the Washwood Heath Project for HS2.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies and policies that support the project objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and requisitioning to purchase order creation and payment processing.
- Implement best practices in procurement across both businesses, including spend analysis, demand forecasting, and risk management.
- Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments (e.g., operations, finance, legal) to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes within the JV.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Drive cost savings initiatives and value creation across all procurement categories.
- Manage and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
- Manage the HS2 process and procedure of approval of suppliers and subcontractors, including managing any suppliers that are nominated or preferred.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the infrastructure or related services sector.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies that deliver significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- CIPS certification or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, supplier landscapes, and best practices in procurement.
