Head of Procurement

About the Role

Reporting into the Group Chief Finance Officer and with dotted-line reporting to the Group’s Chief Procurement Officer, this pivotal role oversees the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including buying goods and services for the company and across our global group portfolio.

With a technology-first mindset, this role is responsible for:

  • Transforming procurement processes through innovation.
  • Proactively identifying needs and crafting specifications.
  • Negotiating cost-effective contracts.
  • Managing key suppliers.
  • Ensuring service delivery exceeds business objectives.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the client Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to foster group-wide spend synergies and opportunities. They must and think strategically while building outstanding stakeholder relationships and embracing technology to automate and drive value.

Key categories of spend include:

  • Technology (software/SaaS/hardware)
  • Consultancy services
  • HR tech and services
  • Various corporate services

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity in a newly formed Group-wide Global Procurement department. Ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced, build-focused environments and are committed to delivering cost-effective, high-value, and high-quality solutions.


Responsibilities

Key tasks include:

  • Building and developing an opportunity pipeline to deliver short-, mid-, and long-term value-added initiatives for IIG and leveraging Brandtech Group buying power.
  • Driving efficiency through the launch of recently acquired procurement technology (Omnea).
  • Collaborating with executive and senior operational leaders to create and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Using data insights, benchmarks, and analytics to optimize cost savings.
  • Championing best practices across sourcing products and services for global alignment.
  • Monetising Sustainability and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) goals via supplier relationships.
  • Mitigating commercial and reputational risks through robust contract management and managing renewals proactively.
  • Collaborating with key delivery leads to ensure a streamlined buying process, clear communication, and compliance.
  • Fostering strategic alignment between procurement and wider group teams.

Requirements

Strong candidates must possess:

  • Senior procurement experience with a proven track record in related roles.
  • Ability to lead or build procurement functions is an advantage.
  • A self-starter mentality with strong leadership skills.
  • Experience influencing at senior executive level.
  • Deep technical knowledge, especially launching and operating procurement software for efficiency.
  • Expertise in sourcing principles and best practices.
  • IT/Technology spend category experience is highly valued.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of contractual terms and risk mitigation to optimize efficiency.
  • A resilient, proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Analytical acumen with strong Excel and data interpretation skills.
