Head of Procurement & Vendor Management
As Doubtless Pet Care continues to grow, we are seeking a Head of Procurement & Vendor Management to join our growing team.
Package: We offer competitive remuneration, 25 days holiday, life assurance, private medical insurance, and a range of employee benefits!
Location: This is a hybrid role based in the UK, with 2 days a week in our office in Paddington
What you’ll get up to as our Head of Procurement & Vendor Management
This is an opportunity to take ownership of procurement and vendor management across a growing international Pet Insurance group — shaping how we partner with suppliers, manage third-party risk and unlock commercial value across the UK and Europe.
As Head of Procurement & Vendor Management, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, with a strategic connection into our global Procurement & Facilities leadership team in the US. You will play a pivotal role in transforming procurement from a transactional capability into a strategic, commercially focused business partner.
With responsibility spanning Doubtless Pet Insurance UK & Europe, Doubtless Pet Insurance Partnerships UK & Europe and Animal Friends Insurance, you'll operate at the heart of a complex, regulated and rapidly evolving environment.
We are looking for a procurement leader who can think beyond sourcing!
You will define and deliver the Group Procurement Strategy across the UK and Europe, building a modern, scalable procurement and supplier governance capability that supports growth while strengthening resilience, regulatory compliance and customer outcomes.
You'll Have The Opportunity To
- Oversee managed services delivery across the Group, ensuring external partners deliver against agreed commercial, operational and service expectations.
- Lead transformation — modernise procurement through improved operating models, technology, automation and standardisation.
- Drive commercial value — develop category strategies, optimise third-party expenditure, consolidate suppliers and lead complex negotiations.
- Shape supplier governance — establish robust frameworks covering sourcing, due diligence, contracting, performance management, risk and exit.
- Strengthen resilience — ensure critical suppliers and outsourced services support our operational resilience requirements and that appropriate contingency arrangements are in place.
- Influence at the highest level — provide insight and recommendations to Executive Leadership, Risk Committees and the Board.
- Build strategic partnerships — work across Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Information Security and Operations to embed procurement into strategic decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
