The Opportunity

We're looking for a strategic and influential Head of Procurement Excellence to help shape the future of procurement at RS Group.

Reporting to the VP of Indirect Procurement, you'll act as a trusted right-hand partner, leading our Procurement Excellence capability and helping to drive performance across a global procurement function managing c.£500m of spend. This is a high-profile role focused on turning data into meaningful insight, strengthening governance and controls, and increasing awareness of the value procurement delivers across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, lead a small high-impact team, and help transform how procurement is understood and leveraged across a global organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Partner closely with the VP Indirect Procurement to drive team performance and strategic priorities.
  • Own executive level procurement reporting, creating compelling insights and narratives that support decision making.
  • Translate complex data into meaningful business stories, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Define, refresh and embed procurement policies, processes and governance frameworks.
  • Strengthen procurement controls and compliance across the organisation.
  • Drive awareness of procurement's value, capabilities, policies and best practices through communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across a complex global business.
  • Champion continuous improvement across procurement reporting, governance and operational processes.
  • Lead and develop a Procurement Excellence team of 2 direct reports, providing direction, coaching and day-to-day leadership.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience of drafting and implementing procurement governance, policy, controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in executive reporting, management information and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to turn complex data into clear, engaging insights and recommendations.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of how procurement drives business value.
  • Indirect procurement experience within a multinational organisation.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
  • A proactive, collaborative and continuous improvement mindset.
