Head of Product

Driftrock is hiring a Head of Product to set the direction for our platform and lead the team building the products that help automotive brands and dealers deliver the world's best experience for finding, buying and owning a car.

Quick facts

  • Team: Product, leading our Product team and working daily with Engineering, Design, Customer Success and Commercial
  • Product: The whole Driftrock platform across Capture, Convert and Connect, plus our internal tooling
  • Reports to: CEO
  • Direct reports: Our Product Manager(s), with room to grow the team
  • Location: Fully remote, UK or abroad, with a few hours of daily UK overlap
  • Contract: Full time, permanent
  • Salary: £85,000 to £105,000, plus share options
  • Start date: As soon as you're ready

Why this role exists

Driftrock powers customer acquisition for some of the world's biggest automotive brands and dealers, including BMW, BYD, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo. Since 2013 we've built a platform that captures enquiries from every channel a car buyer touches, validates them in real time, nurtures them through messaging journeys, and measures everything through to the vehicle sale.

That work enables billions of euros in vehicle sales every year and makes buying a car a better experience for consumers.

The next 12 months are set to be the biggest in our history. We're preparing to launch our boldest products yet, growing across Europe, bringing our platform to more customers, and putting AI at the heart of how our products work.

This calls for a product leader who can set a clear direction, make the big calls on where we focus, and build a product team that turns strategy into shipped, measured outcomes. As our Product team scales, this role will take increasing ownership of product direction and decision-making from the CEO. Reporting to the CEO, you'll shape the future of the platform and help define how car buyers and car sellers connect.

What you'll own

You'll be accountable for Driftrock's product strategy and the results it delivers. That means deciding why and what we build across the whole platform and our internal tooling, leading and growing the product team that delivers it, and making sure every major bet ships and moves the metrics that matter to our customers and our business. You'll work closely with the CEO as ownership of day-to-day product leadership transitions into the Product team.

Your first 90 days

  • By day 30: you've met customers, partners and every team, used the platform end to end, got to know the Product team, and mapped the current landscape: our products, how brands and dealers use them, how product work flows today, and where the biggest opportunities sit.
  • By day 60: you've agreed a product strategy and 12-month roadmap with the CEO and leadership team, set up a clear product operating rhythm with Engineering and Design, and agreed goals and development plans with each person in your team.
  • By day 90: discovery to delivery runs on a predictable cadence, the whole company can see what's coming and why, your first measurable product win has shipped, and you have a plan for how the product team grows next. You and the CEO are aligned on the direction for the next stage of Driftrock's product growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll be doing

  • Set the product vision and strategy for the Driftrock platform, turning company goals into a clear, evidence-backed roadmap the whole company understands.
  • Lead, coach and grow the Product team, setting high standards for discovery, decision-making and delivery, and hiring well as the team expands. We're open to strong Senior or Lead Product Managers who are ready to step up into broader product leadership.
  • Make the big prioritisation calls across customer-facing products and internal tooling, balancing customer value, commercial impact and technical health so Engineering always works on what matters most.
  • Take new products from first discovery to market, each with a clear launch plan and success measures.
  • Solution design alongside Product Managers and other stakeholders. We are a small team, so this Head of Product role is a chance to be hands-on whilst leading and growing the team.
  • Stay close to customers, spending time with brands, dealers and partners every month so real evidence shapes every major decision.
  • Build a product operating model that scales, with shared rituals, metrics and tools that help a remote team move quickly and stay aligned.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing and Customer Success on pricing, packaging, positioning and launches, so what we build lands well and grows revenue.
  • Report on product performance to the CEO and board, showing clearly what we shipped, what it changed and what we learned.

What you'll bring

  • A track record of leading product for a B2B SaaS platform, ideally combined with experience in consumer product or product-led growth, with a strategy that measurably grew revenue, retention or a core customer metric.
  • Experience managing and developing product managers, and building a team where people do their best work. Strong Senior or Lead Product Managers ready to take this next step are encouraged to apply.
  • Evidence of taking a new product or major bet from first discovery through to a successful launch.
  • Strong product judgement: you make clear, well-reasoned calls on what not to build as well as what to build, and bring people with you.
  • A habit of regular customer discovery, and comfort combining customer insight with product and commercial data to make decisions. You have a strong experimental and data-driven mindset.
  • The ability to work closely with engineering and design leaders on technical trade-offs, sequencing and delivery.
  • Clear written and spoken communication, from a one-page strategy to a board update, in a remote, async-friendly team.
  • Comfort being hands-on when it helps, from writing a brief to digging into the data yourself. You take a collaborative, pragmatic approach to leadership and are comfortable getting into the details when needed.
  • Experience working in a smaller, fast-growing company rather than exclusively in a large, highly structured enterprise environment.

Bonus points

  • Experience with marketing technology, lead generation, messaging or CRM-adjacent products.
  • Knowledge of the automotive or e-mobility industry, especially how brands and dealers work together.
  • Experience shipping AI-powered products, or using AI tools heavily across discovery and delivery.
  • Experience launching products into new markets.
  • Experience shaping pricing and packaging for a SaaS product

Why Driftrock

Driftrock's mission is to become the world-leading automotive and e-mobility marketing software platform, and help accelerate the transition to clean transport.

We work with some of the world's biggest brands, including BMW, BYD, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, and partner with the world's leading platforms, including Meta, Google, mobile.de and Auto Trader.

We've been building since 2013, and our work enables billions of euros in vehicle sales every year.

We're a close, fully remote team of 45 people across engineering, design, customer success, performance and commercial, spread across the world.

That means your work has a real, visible impact on our product, our culture and how we operate.

We're at the cutting edge of marketing technology, with plenty of room to unlock value from data and to help speed up the shift to electric vehicles.

How we work is shaped by four values:

  • We care: about our team, our customers, and the people who see the marketing messages that we power. Work isn't done until we can prove it's useful to both the consumer and the customer.
  • Be that person: if something needs fixing, fix it. It's never someone else's problem.
  • People-first: we put people at the core of everything, and never compromise security or privacy for results.
  • Be better today than you were yesterday: we bake learning and continuous improvement into everything we do, for ourselves and our customers.

In practice, this looks like weekly Monday Showcases where we share what we're learning, regular retros, a budget to attend the courses and conferences that grow you, Donut coffee pairings to stay connected, and an annual company Summit that brings the whole global team together in person.

What's in it for you

We're remote-first and flexible about how and where you work, with co-working space available if you want it. Alongside your salary:

  • Share options in Driftrock, on founder-friendly, tax-efficient EMI terms, including the option to retain vested options after leaving (at board discretion).
  • Comprehensive Vitality health cover: medical, dental, vision, hearing, mental-health support and therapy, cancer cover, a free Headspace subscription and Vitality rewards.
  • 24 to 28 days' holiday (24 + 1 extra each year, capped at 28), plus bank holidays.
  • Pension contributions, life assurance (3x salary) and income protection.
  • Electric car salary-sacrifice scheme (Octopus): save up to ~40%, with insurance, servicing and a charging perk included.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
  • A learning budget for books, courses and conferences, plus time for personal goals.
  • Perks and discounts via CharlieHR,
