Your role at a Glance
The commercially minded, entrepreneurial Head of Product leads the end-to-end product strategy, innovation and lifecycle management across Avenir Collective's portfolio of beauty, personal care and lifestyle brands. This is a high-impact, group-level leadership role responsible for defining and scaling our product capability, ensuring we continue to deliver differentiated, consumer-led products that drive brand growth, commercial performance and long-term competitive advantage.
Reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, this role acts as the strategic product leader for the organisation, partnering closely with Brand Managers, who define brand strategy and positioning, to translate consumer insight, market opportunity and commercial objectives into market-leading product portfolios. You own the innovation roadmap, end-to-end product lifecycle, commercial evaluation, regulatory excellence and supplier partnerships, whilst building the systems, governance and processes required to support a scalable, multi-brand business.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Avenir Collective's beauty and personal care portfolio, while supporting expansion across adjacent lifestyle categories and integrating future acquisitions into a unified product capability. Working cross-functionally with Brand, Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance, you will ensure product innovation remains a strategic driver of growth, balancing consumer desirability, operational excellence, commercial viability and regulatory compliance
Location & Flexibility
- Full-time, permanent role based at our modern office in Holborn, London
- 40 hours per week, 9 am to 6 pm with a one-hour lunch
- This position is hybrid, with the expectation to go to the office 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Portfolio
- Own the product strategy and innovation roadmap across our portfolio of beauty, personal care and lifestyle brands, aligned to brand, consumer and commercial priorities.
- Identify and assess new product, category and portfolio opportunities using consumer insight, market trends, competitive intelligence and commercial analysis.
- Lead portfolio prioritisation and investment decisions, developing robust business cases and ensuring resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
- Review portfolio performance and drive optimisation, renovation, reformulation, rationalisation and investment decisions.
Product Development & Innovation
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and development through launch, optimisation and retirement.
- Drive innovation across formulations, ingredients, formats, packaging and product experience, with a particular focus on beauty and personal care.
- Establish effective stage-gate, project management and product governance processes to deliver products on time, within budget and against agreed commercial objectives.
- Partner with Brand, Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure products are differentiated, commercially viable, scalable and successfully launched.
Quality, Regulatory & Commercial Governance
- Own product quality, regulatory compliance, testing, claims substantiation, labelling and documentation across all products and markets.
- Develop strategic supplier and manufacturing partnerships that support innovation, quality, speed to market and commercial value.
- Own product costing, margin and development investment governance, ensuring product decisions deliver sustainable commercial returns.
- Oversee product IP and integrity, including product naming, trademarks and protection of proprietary innovation.
Leadership
- Build and develop a high-performing Product function with strong technical, consumer and commercial capability
- Establish scalable processes and ways of working that support portfolio growth and the successful integration of future acquired brands.
About the Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience leading Product or Product Development within beauty, personal care, consumer goods or adjacent lifestyle categories.
- Demonstrated success developing and launching commercially successful consumer products from concept through to market.
- Strong understanding of beauty and personal care product development, regulatory requirements, supplier management and quality standards.
- Experience building innovation pipelines and managing complex product portfolios across multiple brands.
- Demonstrated experience developing commercial business cases, product costing models and investment recommendations that balance consumer value with commercial return.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management and portfolio optimisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable product processes, governance frameworks and high-performing teams within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Passion for innovation, consumer insight, and developing products that strengthen brand equity and deliver sustainable commercial growth.
