About the Role
We're reshaping our Digital, Technology and Data function for the future, creating new opportunities, strengthening our capability, and building clearer, more resilient ways of working so we can deliver even better services for our Co-op, our colleagues, members and customers.
We're looking for a Head of Product - Commercial & Supply Chain (SAP) to join our Digital, Technology and Data team and help us shape the technology that powers our commercial and supply chain operations. Acting as a strategic technology partner to our Chief Commercial Officer and Supply Chain Director, you'll lead the product vision, roadmap and outcomes across a critical SAP estate, using technology, data and AI to deliver meaningful business value. From product and supplier management through to forecasting, replenishment and supply chain optimisation, you'll help drive the capabilities that support thousands of stores across the UK.

This is a rare opportunity to combine deep SAP expertise with executive-level influence. SAP sits at the heart of our commercial and supply chain operations, and we're at an exciting point in our journey, including a major move from SAP ECC to S/4HANA and continued investment in forecasting, replenishment, data and AI capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to shape strategic business outcomes, partner with senior leaders across the organisation and lead one of the most important technology portfolios in Co-op, impacting the products, services and supply chains that support around 4,000 stores nationwide.
What you'll do
- Set the product vision, strategy and roadmap for our Commercial and Supply Chain SAP portfolio
- Partner with senior business leaders to turn commercial and supply chain priorities into technology-enabled outcomes
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of product and service leaders while influencing wider architecture, engineering and delivery teams
- Work closely with architecture, SAP platform and engineering teams to shape future solutions and capabilities
- Balance business needs, technology investment, operational resilience and long-term platform strategy
- Oversee the delivery of product roadmaps, ensuring priorities are aligned to business goals
- Ensure products and services are reliable, resilient and continuously improving to meet operational needs
- Represent the portfolio in wider transformation programmes and help shape future business and technology strategy
- Drive improvements across product management, supplier management, forecasting, replenishment and supply chain operations
- Identify opportunities to use digital, data and AI capabilities to improve business performance and customer outcomes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
