Head of Product Design
UK-based, remote
£100k–£115k + 15% year-end performance bonus
We’re working with an established international B2C company looking for a Head of Product Design to lead and develop a team of six.
You’ll set the product design direction, raise the quality of the customer experience and help the team connect research and design decisions more closely to conversion, retention and revenue.
This is a player-coach role. Most of your time will be spent leading the team and shaping the direction, but you’ll stay close to the work through critiques, prototyping and hands-on input into the most important customer journeys.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching and developing six product designers
- Setting the product design vision and quality standards
- Strengthening customer research and experimentation
- Improving how the team uses AI across its design process
- Working closely with product, engineering and commercial leadership
- Stepping into key flows and prototypes when your experience can make the difference

You’ll suit this role if you’ve led product designers in a consumer business while retaining a strong eye for craft. You’ll be comfortable moving between team development, product strategy and detailed design conversations.
The team works closely with colleagues in the US. The ideal hours are approximately 12pm–8pm UK time, although there may be flexibility for the right person.
