HEAD OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Key Responsibility
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced product development leader to take responsibility for the development and delivery of innovative products and solutions within a growing organisation.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Head of Product Development will oversee all aspects of product innovation and development, from initial concept through to market launch and ongoing product improvement.
The role will work closely with sales, client relations, operations, supply chain, production, quality assurance, and technical teams to ensure products meet customer requirements, comply with relevant standards and regulations, and consistently deliver high levels of quality, performance, and reliability across domestic and international markets.

- Define and deliver the product development roadmap in line with overall business strategy.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform new product concepts.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement across the product portfolio.
- Identify opportunities for new products, product enhancements, and commercially viable solutions.
- Ensure product development activity supports the organisation's wider commercial objectives.
Development & Design Oversight
- Lead the design, development, testing, and evaluation of new products and solutions.
- Oversee product development projects from initial concept through to production and market launch.
- Ensure products meet relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.
- Oversee the improvement, refinement, and optimisation of existing products.

Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in product development leadership, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, technology, or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of product design, development, testing, validation, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from concept through to launch.
- Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating a technical or product development team.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven, with strong project management capability.
Working Hours
- Monday – Friday
- As a senior management position, flexibility will be required based on business and project needs.
