A Snapshot of Your Day
To ensure business continuity and support strategic organizational alignment with the Helix framework, Siemens Energy is establishing the role of Head of Product Engineering and Documentation within the Aeroderivative Gas Turbines Core Development unit in the United Kingdom. To address these business aims, this role focuses on leading product engineering lifecycles, managing comprehensive technical documentation, and optimizing cross-functional collaboration across the AGT portfolio. Given the focus on engineering excellence and robust documentation standards, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gas turbine engineering, proven senior leadership capabilities, and extensive experience driving complex technical projects in a global matrix organization.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the design, development, and engineering integrity of core aeroderivative gas turbine products and components, ensuring products released to the market meet all internal and external safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, methodologies, and change management practices to enhance product quality, execution speed, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
- Direct the creation, maintenance, distribution, and governance of technical product documentation, manuals, engineering records, and configuration management systems, ensuring a single source of truth for product data.
- Ensure compliance of all product documentation and engineering deliverables with international engineering standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, and customer specifications through robust quality assurance and compliance practices.
- Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and talent development for product engineers, technical writers, and documentation specialists while managing department budgets, resource allocation, workforce planning, and organizational capability growth.
- Develop and execute engineering strategy through strategic planning, product lifecycle management (PLM), stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration with Operational Planning, Parts, Quality, Product Lifecycle, and other key partners to support end-to-end business operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles within the power generation or aerospace sectors.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional registration, Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification a plus.
- Proven experience in technical documentation management and product lifecycle systems.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
